Festival of Trees 2023
Museum of the Red River and Idabel Arts Council will host its annual Festival of Trees from December 1st to December 30th. This event features decorated Christmas trees by area businesses and organizations. They will be displayed at the Museum of the Red River’s Donald and Mary Etta Herron Reception Area from December 1-30, 2023. Awards will be given for trees which best exemplify their sponsors in the categories of Business, Civic Group, School, and Professional/Specialty (including florists, etc.), with “aesthetic creativity” being the main consideration. Judging will be done on December 7th by Museum Members. There will also be a “People’s Choice” winner chosen by popular vote of Museum visitors.
Participants can drop off and set up their entry during normal business hours between November 21st and 30th. Late entries, or entries that do not follow the Museum’s event rules, will not be accepted. All trees must remain on display until the end of the event. Participants can pick up their entries between January 2nd and 7th. Any tree not retrieved during pick-up week will be discarded.
