About the exhibit
Seven State Biennial
with support by Idabel Coca-Cola Bottling
The Museum of the Red River is pleased to be a co-sponsor of the Seven State Biennial exhibition, along with the Nesbitt Gallery, (on the campus of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, in Chickasha), and the Charles B. Goddard Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma. The exhibit is comprised of 55 works that include paintings, prints, photography, sculpture, fiber arts, and mixed media.
The Seven State Biennial is open to artists from Oklahoma and the six states that border it – Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, and New Mexico. Every two years, artists submit original works to the competition. An art juror selects winning entries in multiple categories, judges the works and awards cash prizes. This year’s exhibit features entries by 40 artists from Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas.
