The Indus Valley Culture is one of the world’s oldest known civilizations. Their cities stretched throughout the northwest regions of South Asia and rivaled contemporary civilizations in Mesopotamia and Egypt. Unfortunately, despite an abundance of archaeological material from that era, little is known about this civilization. This is largely due to the lack of a written language. As such, objects like this are invaluable resources for scholars.
