Idabel, OK (January 2, 2018)— Families are invited to get their hands dirty at the Museum’s Fun with Clay Day, January 20th, from 10 am to 3 pm. Attendees will learn two different pot-making techniques—pinching and coiling. Each method is thousands of years old and has been used by cultures throughout the world. Fun with Clay Day is free and sponsored by the McCurtain County Art Club. Families may drop in and drop out of the class at any time.

Fun with Clay Day is the second workshop in the Museum’s new, monthly, “make-and-take” series. Each workshop is priced lower than the Museum’s usual programs. Christina Eastep, Head of Programs, said “…each session is designed for families to collaborate and take risks while making art…” Visit www.museumoftheredriver.org/programs for a full list of upcoming programs.
