Contemporary Studio Glass (From the Collections of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art)

The Sam and Dolly Johnson Collection of Arkansas Diamonds

with support from Girls Gone Wine

Hosted in our Nathaniel and Lana Grey Gallery located in the Mary H. Herron Community Conference Center are works of glass art by renowned artists including Harvey K. Littleton, Dale Chihuly, William Morris, Richard Royal, Stephen Dee Edwards, and Livio Seguso.

Sincere thanks to the Oklahoma City Museum of Art for the generous loan. The Contemporary Studio Glass will be on exhibit till May 5, 2024.

The collection was acquired over the years by Sam and Dolly Johnson, Murfreesboro residents and business owners who have formed one of the largest private collections of stones from the Crater of Diamonds.

Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, AR is the only publicly accessible diamond mine allowing visitors to dig for and keep any diamonds or other finds they uncover. The Museum of the Red River gratefully acknowledges the Johnson’s generosity and continuing support through the loan from their collection. This exhibit will be on display in collections storage until March 3, 2024.
